The below description of the interface describes various elements available within NextPage. Your particular user interface of NextPage will likely incorporate only some of the elements described below and will look slightly different.
When you launch the program, the following window appears:

You'll notice the interface has four main components:
-
Navigation Pane
-
List Pane
-
Submission Pane
-
Action Buttons
navigation pane
The Navigation Pane gives you the tools to change the view of documents in the List Pane. There are two ways one can do this - by either using the "Views" or "Folders".
Views enables you to filter the view of documents in your List Pane. For example, if a user were to select the view "Office files older than 7 years", the list would be filtered to only show Microsoft Office document types that are older than 7 years. Views are configurable by customers to match the needs for your organization.
Folders enables users to filter their view of documents in the List Pane by selecting a folder location, or a repository. For example, if a user were to select "Shared Drive," the user will only see files stored on the Shared Drive in the List Pane.
list Pane
The List Pane enables users to interact with documents and take actions on them. The documents can be listed by File Type, Size, Duplicates, Location, File Name, Folder Name, and Size. Each document name and location is a hyperlink to open either the document or location.
Additionally, "Filters" can be created to ease navigation. By selecting a filter at the top of the List Pane, users can 'filter' their view. This filtering can include showing only files that are "duplicates," files greater than a given size limit - or smaller, and files older than a given date, with many other options to aid in disposition processes.
submission pane
The submission pane shows destination locations for uploading documents, or records. Users can drag & drop documents from the List Pane to the Submission Pane and choose a destination location for the selected documents. The selected documents will then be copied - or moved - to the corresponding destination location.
action buttons
At the bottom of the interface you will see buttons that enable actions to be taken. Common action buttons include:
- Delete - This will delete selected documents.
- Copy or Move - This will either copy or move files to a destination location. Customers configure whether the action is a copy, or a move.
- Reclassify - This will enable a user to change the classification of the selected document.
Other actions may be customized for a given customer implementation.
